40 Days and 40 Nights
Collectively, we have journeyed together 40 days and 40 nights, some of us willingly, some of us kicking and screaming. After nearly 250 years of building a society we find ourselves at a pivotal point in our shared story. Centuries of working towards “All men are created equal,” have fallen ill to “Favoring a select few.”
This time, the big boat was not needed for the biblical storm. You see, destruction arrived with a mob of angry men and a single pen. However bleak these times may appear, there can and should be an alternate story. Interesting enough, 40 days also symbolized a time of testing, trial, and transformation.
So maybe, just maybe this is the time for the grand pivot? Division, hatred, greed, and fear has led for far too long. Could this be our time of radical revolution? A social shift to build fairer structures, engage in reciprocity, and to be the America we deserve to be.
